Black-Necked Stork (Ephippiorhynchus asiaticus)

Family: CICONIIDAE

The irridescent black feathers of a male Black-Necked Stork. The Black-Necked Stork is a large bird standing up to 1.5m tall and having an average weight of around 4kg. It is native to parts of South and Southeast Asia and Australia. They are strongly terrortorial of their feeding spots.

Red Kangaroo (Macropus rufus)

A close up of a female Red Kangaroo. The Red Kangaroo is both the largest Kangaroo species and the largest living mammal and marsupial native to Australia. The Red Kangaroo natural occurs in scrub land, grassland and desert throughout most of central and western Australia. Males can weigh up to 135kg but females are much daintier, only weighing up to 35kg. A male Red Kangaroo can leap over 9m into the air.
